Lovely Nurseries

Hey folks!! I shared our baby announcement last week on the blog and even though it’s outside of my typical lettering posts, my creative brain has only been moving in the direction of nursery decor lately so I wanted to share some ideas that have been bouncing around. There are lovely things outside of just lettering, right??

We find out the gender this week (as long as baby cooperates during the ultrasound) so I thought it would be fun to use this time to think about what would be fun to include for a boy nursery and a girl nursery! After this week, I’ll only have one of them to pin on Pinterest so why not think about them both for now?

Here is what I’m thinking for a baby boy nursery–pretty neutral with a few pops of blue. I’d seen Peter Rabbit done for some little boy birthday parties but not in too many nurseries so I love that it’s a bit unique! There are so many sweet illustrations of Peter and his mother that would look perfect framed on the wall with this color palette.

I think it’s a little harder to be creative with a girl’s nursery. I just keep going back to blush and florals so this was my attempt to think outside of the box a bit. The gold accents give it a little bit more of a grown up feel so it could be enjoyed for years without having to redecorate (unless I end up with a very opinionated little one who likes to redecorate!!).

What are some of your favorite nursery themes you’ve seen?? Can’t wait to get more ideas for baby boy or baby girl!
