Hope everyone enjoyed their New Years! We had a few get togethers over the holidays and this was one of my favorite parts–a hot chocolate bar! (And it resulted in some delicious leftovers that lasted me through New Years Day). This is such a fun idea that both kids and adults will love and have so much fun with. I started with just a few toppings but got so many more fun ideas from you guys on instagram that I had to add a few more!
You could make a beautiful hot cocoa bar with just the basics: marshmallows, candy canes, and whipped cream but here are some other great ideas that your guests (or just you) will absolutely love.
add ins | chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, candy canes (great for stirring all of the other toppings in), mini reeses, red hots
adults | mix in some peppermint schnapps, fireball, or Godiva liqueur
top it off | whipped cream, caramel syrup, chocolate syrup, chocolate sprinkles, pirouette cookies, paper straws
The toppings spoke for themselves but I loved the touches that the tags, red twine, mason jars, and hot chocolate sign added. The tags can be purchased via custom request here and the hot chocolate sign is a quick digital download so it’s perfect for a last minute party planning!
